RICK GOVE | PRINCIPAL
Rick Gove offers his clients more than 35 years of experience in journalism and public relations. He provides strategic counseling and account management to clients such as Colliers International-Atlanta, Duke Realty and Jones Lang LaSalle.
Prior to founding The Gove Network in 1993, Rick was vice president for business-to-business services in the Atlanta office of Fleishman-Hillard International Communications. He provided public relations services to a wide range of clients, including Cushman & Wakefield of Georgia, David C. Cooper & Associates, Anheuser-Busch Southeast and MONY Real Estate Investment Management.
Rick was also responsible for the media spokesperson training program at Fleishman-Hillard, training spokespersons from Information America, MasterCard International, National Asbestos Council, Georgia Society of CPAs, The Westminster Schools and others.
He was vice president and media relations director of McKenzie & Associates, an Atlanta public relations firm specializing in professional services firms. Clients included Ernst & Young, River Capital, The Merchant Bank and Powell, Goldstein, Frazer & Murphy.
Rick began his communication career in journalism. He was senior editor of Sports Merchandiser magazine; editor of The Walton Tribune, which under his leadership won the Georgia Press Association award for best local news coverage; staff writer for the Atlanta Business Chronicle; news director for two Georgia radio stations; and staff writer/columnist for The Union-Recorder in Milledgeville, Georgia.
He is a past board member of the Atlanta Downtown Partnership, Atlanta Vietnam Veterans Business Association, Walton County Music Guild, and the advisory board of UGA’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication.
He has served as communication advisor to the Atlanta Downtown Office Coalition, Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors, and the Georgia chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties.
Rick serves as president of On Stage Walton and has performed in more than 50 plays and several television commercials. He has also recorded books for Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic, and Georgia Radio Reading Service.
STEVE WEBB | PR MANAGER
Steve Webb has an extensive background in public relations, marketing and reporting.
He writes press releases, blogs, news articles, brochure copy, website content and other strategic PR content, and provides media relations, including arranging interviews between top real estate executives and local and regional publications.
Prior to joining The Gove Network, Steve was a Media and Editorial Specialist at IDI Inc., a leading full-service industrial real estate company, where he was the chief provider of editorial content, including press releases, brochure copy, newsletters and news articles. He also managed media relations with editors and reporters at trade publications and newspapers.
As a journalist and editor, he has served as Managing Editor at National Real Estate Investor magazine, a leading trade magazine covering commercial real estate. He has also been a technology editor, a construction news reporter for McGraw-Hill, and a daily news reporter at The Watertown Daily Times.
